About Us

Our watches are designed to be personal - a reminder of our individual journeys, experiences and values.

We create refined, Swiss-made watches that are inspired by the world around us and built to serve generations. Crafted from exceptional materials and components, our timepieces pair clean, organic design with a philosophy of sustainability to minimize our impact on the planet. We further this mission by giving back – dedicating a portion of profits to global charities chosen by our customers.

Our vision is to build a global community of owners who see their timepiece as a reflection of their connection to the world. Each watch should tell a story — inspired by life, lived with meaning, and passed down through generations. By uniting thoughtful design, premium components, and sustainable choices, we aspire to create a legacy for our watches beyond just measuring time – to be symbols of a life well-lived.

Inspiration

A watch is no longer a necessity – it’s a personal choice.  It’s a reflection of who we are and what matters to us, often recalling the people, places, events and experiences that are truly important.  In the modern world, it nods to a simpler time, when things were built to last and design carried meaning.   These values still guide us.

Our designs are inspired by the world we share - Earth, the Third Stone from the Sun. We draw from nature’s colors, symmetry and forms; the harmony, balance and flow of music and art; the textures, patterns and symbols of cultures; the lines, style, and juxtaposition of architecture and landscapes; and the characters and values found in books and film. Each model has a distinct origin. Ultimately, the meaning of every watch comes from the life you live with it - and what it reminds you of.

Quality & Craftsmanship

Swiss Manufacturing

Our watches meet or exceed the requirements of Swiss Ordinance 232.119, the regulatory requirements for a watch to be labeled as Swiss Made.  In practice, this means:

  • A Swiss movement - assembled, inspected and calibrated in line with the ordinance’s criteria
  • Technical development of the watch is performed in Switzerland
  • At least 60% of manufacturing costs are incurred in Switzerland
  • Final casing, inspection and testing occurs in Switzerland

These standards are why “Swiss Made” still signifies precision, reliability, and integrity and will continue to do so in the future.

Premium Components

We use components to the same specifications and material composition trusted by luxury brands: 316L stainless-steel cases for strength and comfort, sapphire crystals for durability and scratch resistance, anti-reflective coatings on the inside of the sapphires for clarity, precision-machined tolerances, robust gaskets and water-resistance engineering, applied hour indices and numbers, Super-LumiNova® for legibility, and solid, quick release 316L bracelets or premium leather straps. It’s the quiet kind of quality you feel every day.

Movement

At the heart of our watches is the Sellita SW200, an automatic Swiss movement evolved from the architecture of the ETA 2824, which entered production in 1971.  The SW200 movement has benefited from over half a century of continuous refinement.  Major Swiss makers including Breitling, Tudor, TAG Heuer, Longines, Oris, Maurice Lacroix, Alpina, Frederique Constant and Hamilton have used the ETA 2824 or Sellita SW200 derivatives in various models over the years.   It is one of the most widely used Swiss automatic movements of all time.

Celebrated for reliability, accuracy, and serviceability, the SW200 is easy to maintain worldwide. Watch repair technicians - from Nebraska to Nairobi, from Mumbai to Dubai, from Tokyo to Mendoza - can keep it running for generations.

Straps

Our leather straps are handmade in the USA using shell cordovan with a Zermatt calf lining, crafted with the same materials and construction
standards of premier luxury watches.

Shell cordovan is the benchmark for luxury leather - a rare section from the dense fibrous membrane of horsehide.  Through an intensive tanning and glazing process, it achieves a smooth, poreless surface, a deep natural shine, enduring strength, and a rich patina that develops with wear over time.

Zermatt leather – made by Tanneries Haas in France – is purpose-built for strap linings: smooth against the skin, hypoallergenic, sweat and water
resistant, and finished with colorfast dyes that hold up to heat and humidity - ideal for all-day comfort and long-term durability.

Reinforced at the lugs and tightly stitched with adhesive-free construction, each strap features triple heat-set edges, dual
keepers, stainless quick-release bars, and a stainless buckle – the same construction methods and specification used by premium luxury watchmakers for a refined finish and long-term durability.

Sustainability & Responsibility

Built to Last

We believe the most sustainable product is one that endures. Creating something that can last for several lifetimes is the ultimate form of sustainability.

Thoughtful Packaging

We ship in the smallest boxes that meet international shipping requirements, using recyclable materials to keep our footprint lighter.

Instead of a traditional single-use presentation box, we include a reusable watch wallet. Our watch wallet is crafted from top-grain leather with a microsuede-covered foam insert, and it secures your watch for travel with a leather retention strap.  Inside the top cover, two dedicated slots carry extra straps or a bracelet, and the wallet is assembled with water-based adhesives to further reduce environmental impact.

Giving Back

Responsibility extends beyond our products. We dedicate 10% of our net profits to carefully vetted global charities, allowing you, as the watch customer, to select an eligible cause at checkout so the contribution reflects what matters to you.

Each organization is evaluated using independent information available through Charity Navigator and selected for its impact, effectiveness, and international relevance. Participating organizations are also nonpolitical and nonreligious in recognition of our diverse global community.

Global Perspective

Trey Stone is a tribute to Earth – the Third Stone from the Sun – and to the ideas, beauty, and good we discover around the world.  Our designs draw on worldwide inspiration and are intended for everyday wear wherever you are.

We operate with a truly global perspective, to ensure our customers from everywhere in the world are respected, valued, and represented in the brand. We support globally impactful and neutral charities, including a select few with a regional focus on Sub-Saharan Africia, to reflect our diverse customer base.
